"Hollowed" symbolically dives into the erosion of the Self within power dynamics. As currents carve grooves in rocks over time, this hollow sculpture explores the impact of control, disdain, belittlement, and abuse on the individual. The empty capsules symbolize trapped emotions within an emotional chrysalis, connected by delicate lines of fiber. The protective mesh simultaneously shields and confines, embodying the nuances of fading colours and the interplay of hidden and exposed elements. Questions arise about the washed-off colours, signs of movement, and the potential emergence of life from these cocoons. Contemplating the cluster of objects brings forth the echo of painful repetition.
