Holding The Flood

- Hadar Marom
- Galit Gaon & Tom Cohen
- Nir Harmat
Mud crust & thread
Drilling manually & sawing

Holding The Flood Engaging in a slow and meditative process, I meticulously carved holes into the naturally dried crust of the desert sand. Employing drops of water to delicately penetrate the fragile soil, this reflective practice became a journey of self-discovery upon my return to live in Israel. Each careful stitch in the conversation with my surroundings involved red cotton thread and dried flood sand collected from the Ashosh wadi near Zuquim in the Arava, Israel.
