The exhibition "Journey in the Imagination" invites viewers into a space where material, emotion, and imagination meet. Through illustration, textile, and symbolic forms, the exhibition explores inner worlds, storytelling, and the human need for emotional connection and wonder.
Artist and illustrator Miri Leshem-Pelly, born in Israel and raised in Holon, has published 15 books that she both wrote and illustrated, in addition to illustrating 16 books for other authors. Her books have been published internationally and translated into multiple languages. She is the recipient of the Nachum Gutman Prize for Illustration and the Rishon LeZion Mayor’s Prize, and has served as Chair of the Illustrators Association in Israel and of the Israeli chapter of SCBWI. She is also active in environmental education and nature conservation.
Her project of illustrated animals began as part of the “100 Days Project” on Instagram, where she created one hundred different animals with human-like expressions and emotional depth. Through these works, she invites viewers into a world of stories, imagination, and magic.
Journey in the Imagination offers a visual and emotional pause—an invitation to slow down, reflect, and reconnect through color, texture, and imagination.
